2nd Pregnancy: 8 Weeks and 6 Days

This is my excuse for not posting anything in a while. I've been feeling so weak and tired (I still do!) the last few weeks. But, today's an extra special day hence the extra effort. :-)

I was in Baguio for work last July 13- 15. When I got home I didn't feel well and blamed it on the long car trips and a couple of skipped meals. While I was complaining about acid in my tummy and feeling like I had ulcers, I suddenly realized two things. I was late. And the last time I complained about those "symptoms", it turned out I was pregnant with Marion.

So. July 17, 2011.

LMP: June 6, 2011
But I guessed June 16, 2011 would be a better date to start counting how far along we were. ;-p

Since we've done this before, we didn't rush to get an ultrasound or see Dr. Tere Henson right away. We waited. But still, we didn't get a heartbeat on my first appointment.

Our second appointment was today. August 12, 2011.

So, presenting... Baby No. 2!

Average length: 2.24cm
Heartrate: 170BPM (very good!)
Expected date of arrival: (according to size) March 16, 2012
Age: (according to size) 8 weeks and 6 days.

Weight: 108lbs
Blood Pressure: 100/70

As usual, the thought of food is enough to make me gag. I avoid all thoughts or pictures of food. There seems to be nothing but acid or gas in my tummy. :-( I've been taking in the worst kinds of food-- chocolates, Chippy, Spam, canned tuna-- and drinking anything but water (C2 is my new favorite). Not the best start for baby and me. I'm looking forward to getting to the 2nd trimester when I know thing will be all better (and when I'll get back some energy).

Mondays for Marion: Humpty Dumpty

She likes watching nursery rhymes on YouTube and the first thing she always asks for is Humpty Dumpty. I like showing her the videos by the Mother Goose Club so I usually show her this video first:

But she'll see this in the sidebar and ask to watch this version:

Sometimes she likes to pretend she's Humpty Dumpty.

Other times it'll be her dolls.

More on Humpty Dumpty:

1) In Chapter 6 of Through the Looking Glass, Alice meets Humpty Dumpty.

'It's VERY provoking,' Humpty Dumpty said after a long silence, looking away from Alice as he spoke, 'to be called an egg—VERY!'
'I said you LOOKED like an egg, Sir,' Alice gently explained. 'And some eggs are very pretty, you know' she added, hoping to turn her remark into a sort of a compliment.
'Some people,' said Humpty Dumpty, looking away from her as usual, 'have no more sense than a baby!'
